Nothing Plus Nothing Equals ..
By Pastor McNayr

I am using this time while I have nothing to do to let you know that nothing does make a difference.

People tend to look down at the word NOTHING and ignore its importance; however, it can mean life or death, success or failure, joy or sorrow.

Mountain climbers have died when they stepped out on it. Parachutists despair when they pull the rip cord and it comes loose. Farmers have lost their farms when they grew it. Ball players and coaches have lost their jobs when they scored it.

It is a good reason for joy when it represents the sum total of your debt. It's what you earn when you do it. I often have it in my bank account.

It's often discussed at meetings with arguments and fights starting over it. You may find it in your mailbox or the nearby candy machine.

I just want you to be aware as you go through life that even the earth hangs upon nothing. (Job 2:7)

Likewise the angel declared to Mary before the birth of Jesus: "For God nothing shall be impossible." (Luke 1:37)

Jesus Himself said: "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed... nothing shall be impossible unto you." (Matt. 17:20)

Paul instructed the Philippians to "be careful for nothing: but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." (Phil. 4:6)

James added: "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering." (James 1:6)

Like the disciples going fishing - "That night they caught nothing." (John 21:3)

The flesh profiteth little, but God's Words are life, abundant life. So ask in faith, for your Lord is concerned that you be perfect and entire and have lack of nothing.

Nothing does make a difference in the here and now - and through out all eternity.

I will be a Booster and not a booer, and nothing can change that. Never again will I be satisfied to stand on the sidelines doing nothing. My vote is to be a participator not merely a spectator!
