The North Avenue Christian School is a fully accredited, privately funded school established to provide a higher level of learning for your children. We are a state certified elementary school providing a curriculum created to stimulate and challenge your child's development. In addition, we offer fun-filled pre-school, before and after school programs as well as full-time daycare. Our school is open to all children, regardless of race, religion, national origin or ethnic group. The North Avenue Christian School creates an atmosphere in which God's name is glorified, by both the staff and the students.
Elementary School
Give your kids a challenging education and a head start to higher learning. The North Avenue Christian School is a state recognized independent school providing traditional kindergarten through 8th grade learning in a secure Christian atmosphere. We offer advanced learning opportunities due to our reduced class sizes, personalized attention and enhanced course structure. In fact, our students usually finish well above state educational standards. Our kindergarten program provides elementary school readiness training which includes familiarity with letters and numbers, with special emphasis on classroom behavior.
Pre-School and Daycare
Provide your child with the nurturing environment of the North Avenue Christian School. Our daycare and pre-school programs are managed by a full-time director and staffed to assure a ratio of one teacher for every 8 children. These programs are licensed with the State of Vermont for an enrollment of up to 59 children, offering a variety of traditional and Christian oriented activities. Children will learn basic skills including colors, shapes, letters, and numbers as well as reading readiness. We promote respect for self and others, self-control, responsibility, sharing, independence, patience and offering forgiveness.
Before and After School Care
The North Avenue Christian School provides a safe place for your child to go before and after school. We offer a well supervised environment which promotes learning, caring and fun. Leave your child in our care every morning after 7:30 a.m. We will ensure they reach their NACS classes on schedule. Our after school program features a variety of entertaining activities including basketball, arts and crafts and much more. The after school program operates from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Both the before and after school programs are available only to North Avenue Christian School students at this time.
